Viewing Vehicle Speed Sensor's
Most speed sensor's are of the permanent magnet type, these sensors send ac signals that vary in amplitude and frequency. Below is a sample image at about 30mph to give you an example of one.
The image below is at 45 mph, showing more amplitude and frequency. These were captured from a 90 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer at the instrument cluster connector.
